Much of what I do in the areas of strategic advisory services and coaching is “teaching someone to fish.”  I always try to add more value than just the answer to a specific issue.  I want to pass on the knowledge I’ve accumulated so that the company, and management, becomes more self-sufficient.  Further, as the company begins to realize the benefits of my services, they often grow to the point where a full time CFO is needed.  In those cases I help find, vet and onboard the new CFO.  I then usually continue to work with the company at a strategic level.
